‘Intent to Kill’ - By Amy Barnett is now live!

Where to even begin summarizing this journey… 10 years ago I sat down to write a screenplay called ‘Intent to Kill’. It was a disastrous mess. In the best way. How much of that story made it into this one? Almost nothing. But I always remembered Adam Vandemilio and how much he yearned for Mercedes.

To be able to hold their finished story in my hands ten years later is surreal. Ridge City is now a world much bigger than I ever envisioned it would be when I first started. One with much more tension, crime, and darkness than ever existed in the story. This started as a love story and ended as one too.

In honour of 15 year old me (yeah, 15. There was no s-e-x in the version she wrote so you’ve got a bit of a slow burn on your hands with this one but it is not fade to black), here’s some snippets of where this all started.

Adam started out a much bigger a-hole if you can believe it.

Who is Eloise you ask? Fuck if I know. Your guess is as good as mine.

Guess which scene this turned into? I can assure you there is no cut to black in the book version ;)
